Colachico Speech and Myo est. 2020

Catherine Dillihunt Colachico is a native of Portland, Maine. She graduated from Boston College in 1992 with a B.S. in Psychology. She pursued graduate studies at Boston University and graduated in 1994 with a Master's of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Audiology. She has been employed in health care settings including Early Intervention, Acute Rehabilitation, and Acute Care teaching hospitals in Boston including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

She moved to California in 2011 and has worked in Bay Area elementary schools, private therapy settings, and has provided Clinical Supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and graduate students.
​
Catherine has advanced training in Speech-Language Pathology including: Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading program, Lively Letters, Hanen certified in More than Words and Learning Language and Loving It, Oropharyngeal Dysphagia, Pre-certification workshop in Orofacial Myology, Talk Tools trained in Feeding and Tongue Thrust remediation.

She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Hearing and Language Association. Catherine is a 4 time recipient of the ASHA ACE award for continuing education. She is an active member of ASHA, the International Association of Orofacial Myology, and the American Academy of Private Practitioners in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She is currently pursuing her certification in orofacial myology and advanced training in identification and treatment of ankyloglossia and tethered oral tissues. Catherine combines her experience as an SLP and orofacial myologist to provide effective therapy for children and adults of all ages.

Catherine lives in Lafayette, California with her husband, Michael, and their 4 children.
